Visiting 2 National Parks near Moab, Arches and Canyonlands, made the approximately 1200 mile trip to Moab well worth the drive. On the last evening the group gathered for a Chuck Wagon Dinner followed by an evening/nighttime boat ride on the Colorado River. After dark, during the float down the river, there was a light show projected on the near vertical river canyon walls. Very enjoyable and relaxing despite the chilly temperature, 50 degrees. While we were in Moab, the weather was entertaining too. We experienced snow, hail, and rain but there seemed to be good weather breaks during all of our scheduled events. A fun exercise was initiated at our evening campfire, a team scavenger hunt. Two-rig teams had one day to locate the required items within their rigs for prizes. The Ellestad - Stasi/Heinig team proved victorious.
