Highlights From the Prescott, AZ RV Trip October 15th-19th
Eight rigs headed to Prescott for an enjoyable trip to a historic and scenic part of Arizona. The first day and evening was cold and rainy, which put a damper on the planned potluck dinner. The focus for all campers was keeping warm and dry! Many preferred retiring to their RV’s early.
The “weather gods” co-operated on the following 3 days with gorgeous Arizona Fall weather. With the wide variety of sightseeing options, many small groups went to various attractions including: Sharlot Hall Museum, Wiskey Row/Court House, Phippen Art Museum, Watson Lake, Jerome and the Stone Ridge Golf Course. For the adventuresome, there was also an off road excursion. The group reconvened in the evenings for dinner at some unique area restaurants.
We stayed at the Point of Rocks RV Campground which is in a beautiful location adjacent to the scenic Watson Lake Park. The campground did not have a pavilion for gathering which was a drawback, particularly for the pot luck event. The shower and bath facilities were clean, The park was pet friendly and had very nice trails leading from the campground into adjacent areas and into the Watson Lake Park.
